Beat the “Summer Slide”

Summer slide isn’t a piece of playground equipment – it’s the tendency for students to lose some of the progress they’ve made during the academic year. But there are ways to keep your students’ skills sharp and have fun all summer long.

For details, resources and lots more ways to foster reading this summer, go to HCPS’ summer reading page.

Papa John’s Pizza Dollars for Dough

Papa John’s– May is here – the end of the 2018-19 Papa John’s “Dollars for Dough” contest is near!  Friday, May 31 is THE LAST day for this year’s “Dollars for Dough” contest. We are close to winning some “dough” but we need everyone’s help to guarantee victory!  If every family would order one pizza from Papa John’s this month using the code SPES, we will definitely win.  Remember, anyone living in the state of Virginia can help.  Ask family and friends to support The Park. This is the BIG push to bring home the dough to The Park!  Go to and use the code SPES.
