Student Material Pick-Up (Updated June 2nd)

What:  Student Material Drive-Thru Event

When:  Thursday, June 4th and Friday, June 5th

Time:  8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon both days

 

This Drive-Thru event for ALL students/families to pick up the following items:

  • Student Materials/Supplies from their desk & cubby
  • Student Artwork
  • Class Pictures (if the family purchased one)
  • Field Day T-Shirts (if the family purchased one and has not already picked it up)
  • 5th Grade Presidential Certificates & Pins
  • 5th Grade Journey Pictures (Thanks to the PTA)

During this drive-thru event, students are encouraged to return:

  • library books (please place in a bag, so you can drop them into the tub when it is brought to your car)
  • classroom literature books and/or textbooks (please place in a bag, & write teacher’s name on the bag, so you can drop them into the tub when it is brought to your car)
  • 5th grade Safety belts (please place in a bag, so you can drop them into the tub when it is brought to your car)

 

Please read the detailed instructions below regarding picking up your child’s belongings.

  • Student material pick-up will be held on Thursday, June 4th and Friday, June 5th between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 noon each day. **These are the ONLY two dates/times for pick-up this school year.  We do not have the capability to store these bags over the summer.​​​​

 

DRIVE-THRU LOCATIONS:

  • Pre-K, Kindergarten or 1st Grade, please drive through the main car loop at the front of the school.
  • 2nd or 5th Grade, please drive through the bus loop and stop at the first door near the Gym (signage will be visible)
  • 3rd Grade, please drive through the bus loop and stop at the courtyard (signage will be visible)
  • 4th grade, please drive through the bus loop and stop at the end of the bus loop, just past the courtyard (signage will be visible)

 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Pull into the bus loop area designated above.  There will be signage to direct traffic.  During the pick-up process, we ask that ALL occupants remain in the vehicle at all times and that only the driver’s side window is open to communicate with our staff.
  • For safety purposes, all our staff will have face coverings on.  We ask that occupants of the vehicle, especially the driver who will be speaking with our staff, also have face coverings on when speaking with our staff.
  • A staff member will approach the driver’s side, ask for the student’s name and their teacher’s name.  They will also ask you to unlock/open the trunk of your vehicle.  **For the safety of our staff, all items will be placed in the trunk of your vehicle NOT the back seat.
  • Another staff member will bring a tub to the driver’s side of the car, you may deposit library books and/or classroom books into this container. (Please have the items in a bag.)
  • Another staff member will retrieve your child’s items and place them in the trunk of your vehicle.
  • You may then pull into the inside of the loop (left side of loop) to circle the loop and exit.
  • Throughout this process, all staff members will minimize contact and exercise safe practices.

***If you ordered a Class Picture and/or have not yet received your PTA Field Day Shirt, these will also be included in the Pick-Up Bag.***

 

Yearbooks will not be delivered before the end of the school year and therefore we will communicate another distribution date later in the summer.
