Principal’s Message

Welcome to October!  While fall is not yet in the air, we are looking forward to Papa John’s Teacher Delivery Night, the Watch DOGS kick-off, pumpkin patch field trips, PTA Kid’s Club, and of course Trunk-or-Treat!  I’m excited to be joining the Springfield Park family and continue our journey to excellence together. I look forward to continuing the many great traditions that are already in place that focus on innovation, communication, determination, and collaboration within our community.  I’m also anxious to meet with students, teachers, families, and the community to hear how our young Springers can embrace their learning opportunities anytime and anywhere through community supported events. It’s obvious that everyone has a lot of school spirit and capitalizing on that motivation is important to creating authentic student-owned experiences that are connected to building life-long adventures.

Our school-wide theme is “Sailing the C’s to Success” and those C’s involve not only the teaching & learning that our staff provide for our students, daily, but also how well they relate those skills into our community as Global Citizens.  I look forward to working alongside teachers, students, and families to further enhance the amazing culture of Springfield Park by embedding the 4 Pillars of the Henrico Learner Profile into our everyday practices. This will allow students to leave The Park with authentic & connected experiences that support student-owned & community supported learning that will occur anytime & anywhere.  If you would like to learn more about the Henrico Learner Profile, please visit  There are many great resources to help families participate in guiding students to be #LifeReady.

I look forward to meeting many of you and working alongside you to provide the best possible educational experiences for our children at Springfield Park.  Please feel free to reach out to me by phone or email throughout the year.

With Springer Pride,
