For the upcoming school year, Henrico County Public Schools will implement a staggered start schedule for all incoming preschool and kindergarten students. The staggered start does not apply to grades 1-5. All students in grades 1-5 have their first day of school on August 24th and attend every single day. The following is our schedule:
Please be reminded that we will have a staggered start for Pre-K and Kindergarten with roughly half attending on Monday but not Tuesday, the other half attending on Tuesday but not Monday and the whole school all together on Wednesday.
Monday, August 24 Tuesday, August 25 Wednesday, August 26 | First Day of School for PK/KG students with last names that start with A-M. First Day of School for PK/KG students with last names that start with N-Z. All PK/KG students attend Grades 1-5 attend school every day starting on August 24th | |
This staggered schedule allows our youngest Springers to experience a calmer, more personalized transition into school while giving teachers additional time to build relationships and establish classroom routines.
